Do I need a SIP Proxy?

A SIP Proxy is needed if you want to use Microsoft Teams with your PBX, DIDs and SIP Trunk trhough Direct Routing.

It is also recommended of you wish enhanced security fore remote access towards your PBX.

It also enables more reliable access for apps and remote clients towards your PBX as its designed to handle Network Address Translation (NAT) in a much more enhanced way than a PBX.
